Margaret Riley has been the director of the Global Education Office for Undergraduates and a dean in Trinity College of Arts and Sciences at Duke University since 2000. She previously served in similar roles at other private and public institutions. She has a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication, a Master's in International Affairs, and an undergraduate degree in Education with certification to teach Spanish. She studied abroad as a high school student in Europe, and lived in Colombia, South America as a Peace Corps volunteer before entering the field of international education. She's recognized as a leader in the field of education abroad, having served as the national chair person for the leading professional study abroad organization from 2002-2005.
