Susan Pratt
After spending her junior year and ten years after that working and living in Germany, Susan E. Pratt returned to the United States to continue her education and professional career in international education. She has worked in study abroad offices at Tulane University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was involved in study abroad policy and program management issues for the University System of Georgia. She has been involved in the study abroad field for over 20 years. She holds a BA in History from Connecticut College, participated in a junior year abroad program at Marburg University in Hessen, Germany and completed a M.Sc. in International Education at Florida State University. Susan is interested in orientation and re-entry programming as they pertain to study abroad and also in long-term assessment of the impact of study abroad on participants. She joined the Global Education Office for Undergraduates in 2009.
Primary Responsibilities: Advising for study abroad within Europe, except Spain, France, and Turkey. Administering programs at The Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome. Program management for Duke in Venice, Duke in St. Petersburg, and Duke in Berlin programs. Directing annual education abroad fair, advisor to the student study abroad committee, and coordinating promotional activities with the office of Undergraduate Admissions.
