Financial Information
We notify the Duke University Registrar, Housing and Dining of student intentions to study abroad when we have all required forms in this office. Once we notify these offices of your student's plan to enroll in a study abroad program for the fall term or academic year, they update your student's account in the Bursar's Office to have these charges removed.
If your student's fall bill lists tuition, dining and housing charges, and your student will be enrolled in a fall or academic year study abroad program, please subtract these charges from the amount you pay.
Please note also that if a student's final paperwork had not been turned in and communicated to the Registrar before the bills were run, understated tuition and/or fees may appear on the bill.
If your student has decided not to go abroad, s/he should also communicate that decision to our office.
If your student has been issued a campus post office box, s/he will be charged rental for the fall term. To avoid this charge, the student should turn in his/her key to Postal Operations prior to the start of the fall term.
