Duke in Los Angeles

Duke in LA is a Spring semester based at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. Duke and non-Duke students are invited to apply. This four-course for Duke credit, intensive academic and pre-professional program is administered by the Duke University Global Education Office for Undergraduates.

The Duke in LA experience includes courses taught by Duke faculty along with a credit-bearing internship with a business or organization of the student's choice that counts as one of the courses on the program. In addition to coursework,  this program features field trips to notable events and locations in Los Angeles, and the opportunity to make connections with people in various fields. Courses offered by USC complete the 4-course semester.

Duke in LA will not be offered in Spring 2010 semester, but will resume in Spring 2011 with Pedro Lasch and Esther Gabara as co-faculty directors with long-time faculty director Jim Thompson.
