Internships
Duke in New York interns have an excellent reputation in a wide variety of organizations in New York, including nonprofits, corporations, performing arts centers, and media networks. We often hear from former Duke in New York students whose internship experiences helped them get hired at full-time arts and media jobs after graduation.
Students are responsible for finding their own internships, though the program offers guidance in this process. They are required to work at their internships for 15 to 20 hours a week throughout the program. During Summer Session II, students can work up to 40 hours if they choose.
As many internship providers require, Duke in New York internships are for academic credit.
