DUKE FINANCIAL AID Duke undergraduates who receive need-based financial aid during the academic year are eligible to apply for financial aid for up to two Duke summer study abroad programs (and/or summer sessions in Durham) offering either one or two courses of credit. This aid is offered in addition to the eight basic academic year semesters of financial aid. Eligibility for aid will be determined in the same manner as academic year aid. Applications are available through the online application (go to http://studyabroad.duke.edu/ and must be submitted to the Office of Study Abroad no later than Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Note: This policy does not apply to a summer abroad program taken prior to matriculation or after graduation from Duke. Non-Duke students should consult their home institution's financial aid office. Duke University does not provide financial aid to non-Duke students. PROGRAM BUDGETS Each Duke-administered program will have budget information available on the individual program websites as it becomes available. A cost estimate for each program will be provided to the Duke University Financial Aid Office by the Office of Study Abroad Business Office as estimates become available. DUKE SUMMER PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY The Duke University Office of Study Abroad has a withdrawal/refund policy specific to Duke-administered summer programs. Students are committed to a program financially as soon as they submit a completed, signed summer 'Commitment to Participate' form.
